Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) leader Pieter Groenewald believes his party holds appeal for black South Africans who share conservative values and prioritise community upliftment.
Speaking on News24's Q&A elections podcast, Groenewald emphasised that the FF Plus is a party for all South Africans.
"Our constitution is quite clear to say that any South African citizen who prescribes to our policies and principles is welcome to join. We don't ask people what colour are you or which group are you,” he said.
The politician told News24 editor-in-chief Adriaan Basson that the FF Plus has shifted away from right-wing politics toward what he terms "centre conservative".
In this latest podcast episode, Groenewald discusses coalition governments, his views on democracy, and how the FF Plus hopes to perform in the 29 May polls.
