Around 11:00 on Friday, a group of people entered the school premises and burnt down seven classrooms, school files, school furniture, textbooks, and caused damage to Grade R equipment, department spokesperson Mphata Molokwane said on Monday.
Molokwane said the group had set the buildings on fire after the labour department closed a block of three classrooms on Tuesday, saying they did not meet safety standards.
